Support BevCam
BevCam is a nonprofit organization serving the City of Beverly. Donations help keep local media accessible, support community voices, and maintain spaces where people can learn, create, and share their work.A gift of any size strengthens community media and helps ensure that programming, training, and civic coverage remain available to everyone.
Ways to Give
The most common way to support BevCam is through monetary donations. These contributions directly support operations, programming, and access to resources.
BevCam also occasionally accepts equipment donations. Because space and technical needs vary, donors should check with staff before bringing in equipment.
Volunteer support is welcomed as needs arise. Anyone interested in volunteering is encouraged to contact BevCam staff to learn about current opportunities.
How Donations Are Used
Donations support a wide range of community-focused work. Funds help maintain equipment, support staff time, and keep spaces open for public use.
Past donations have supported specific improvements. Several years ago, we raised $10,000 to help open BevCam Downtown, a space that has expanded access and made services more visible and approachable. The downtown location has helped make BevCam more visible, and has encouraged more people to participate.
Donors have also helped fund specific upgrades, including improving our podcasting spaces and acquiring furnishings for private editing suites.
Directed Giving
Donors may direct their contributions toward specific purposes by noting their intent at the time of giving.
Directed donations have supported:
- Facility improvements
- Equipment purchases
- Studio enhancements
BevCam works with donors to ensure contributions are used as intended whenever possible.
Sustaining Support
In addition to one-time gifts, BevCam encourages ongoing support through recurring donations. Monthly contributions help create predictable funding that supports long-term planning and stability.
While we don't have an active capital campaign running right now, sustaining donations play an important role in keeping community media services available year-round.
Grants and Public Support
Donations are one part of BevCam’s overall funding. We also apply for grants throughout the year, and recently benefited from a city grant supporting a digital equity initiative.
This combination of public funding, grants, and community donations helps BevCam continue its mission while remaining accessible to all residents.
