About BevCam

Local access. Local stories. Local impact.

BevCam is Beverly’s community media center. We help neighbors share stories, cover local events, and stay connected to what’s happening around them.

You’ll find everything from city meetings and school events to cultural programming and local sports. Some of it is created by the community. Some of it is created with our help. All of it reflects life in Beverly.

If you want to watch, learn, or start creating your own media, BevCam is here to help you get started.

BevCam’s Role in the Community

BevCam exists to make media accessible in Beverly, but access is only the starting point. What matters more is what people do once the door is open.

As a community media center, BevCam supports free expression and civic participation by giving residents real ways to show up on screen. Sometimes that means making sure public meetings are visible and easy to watch. Other times, it means helping a student finish a first video project, or working with a local group to capture something worth remembering.

The common thread is trust. BevCam creates space for people to tell their own stories, in their own voices, without needing to be media professionals first. Important moments don’t disappear here. They’re recorded, shared, and made available to the community.

At its core, BevCam is about participation. We don’t just air content. We help people learn how to create it, step by step.

What BevCam Does

BevCam supports community-driven media in Beverly. You’ll see it in the places people count on most, like public meetings and school programming. You’ll also see it in the fun stuff. Local sports. Arts and cultural events. The moments that give this city its personality.

We run multiple channels and online platforms that feature content created by residents, students, nonprofits, and local organizations. Some of that content is polished and planned. Some of it is simple and immediate. Either way, it belongs here.

Beyond broadcasting, BevCam offers hands-on training and workshops. We also provide access to studios and equipment. If you’re new to media, you’re welcome here. If you’ve been doing this for a while, we can help you sharpen your skills and finish what you start.

A lot of people come in with an idea and a little uncertainty. That’s normal. Our job is to make the process feel doable, and to help you move from first concept to finished program.

Our Mission and Where We Work

BevCam’s mission is built around access, education, and community connection. We want media to feel open and usable, not locked behind experience or insider knowledge. When people have the tools and a little support, they tell better stories. They also show up for their community in new ways.

BevCam operates out of two locations in Beverly. Our downtown space on Cabot Street is a welcoming hub for community members. Our studio at Beverly High School supports educational programming and youth media. Between the two, we’re able to serve a wide range of people, from first-timers to experienced creators.
